Chong Choh Yoon

CY Chong  graduated with a Bachelor’s in Law from University of London in 1990. Having been called to the Malaysian Bar in 1994, he then practised in his own firm until January, 2018 where he joined a middle sized firm as consultant. During his practice, he has handled matters pertaining to criminal law, land law, commercial and mercantile law, construction and family law. He has also dealt with numerous cases involving commercial disputes, family and matrimonial disputes, commercial transactions, corporate advisory (including liquidation, joint venture, shareholders’ dispute, account enquiries, corporate forensic auditing and corporate reliefs and remedies).

Prior to joining the legal profession, CY Chong served the Government of Malaysia in the provision of educational services. 

Besides being an active member of the legal fraternity, he has had a long association with community works offering services and contributions to community bodies, guilds and associations and had helmed the position of legal advisor to a clansmen association in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
